The West Grimstead Village Hall plays an important role in keeping the community together, and provides a facility that local people can use for their own parties, events, etc. The hall is a charity and is run by a small team of volunteers, who meet four times a year, and are responsible for maintaining the hall and raising funds to pay for its upkeep and running costs by arranging events such as Pop Up pubs and Coffee Mornings.
We currently have a number of vacancies on the committee that we are looking to fill in order to keep the village hall running. Volunteering does not require much time commitment and suits organized individuals who wish to give a small amount of their time to their local community.
In addition to general committee members, we are looking to fill two key roles:
- Chairperson – To organize and run the four Committee Meetings and AGM (which is tacked on to the May meeting)
- Secretary – To deal with the day to day administration needs (with support from the previous secretary)
